THE SWIRLING EDDIES RETURN!
Immediately following the massive success of their pop crossover hit release
"Sacred Cows," the Swirling Eddies retired to the island retreat they had
purchased with the well-earned fortunes acquired from that ever popular
album. At the time, it seemed like the perfect way for the Eddies to go out
with a bang - O, and what a glorious bang it was. Nevertheless, the Eddies
soon found themselves longing once again for human contact and the love
and adoration that life in the limelight had always brought them.
Sure they had started up friendships with the various pelicans and the many
turtles of the island, but that just wasn't the same. Plus, it seems that
animals
just don't appreciate the Eddies music the way the human fans do. For
starters, they didn't always have to tie the human fans to a pole to make
them listen, and the human fans only occasionally tried to pull their heads,
arms and legs inside their hardened outer shells. Additionally, the numerous
double albums and feature films the Eddies created targeting the turtle and
bird population ended up being a major financial disappointment.
Therefore my friends, it seems the only audience that would actually
appreciate some new Eddies music would be the Swirling Eddies human fans.
Camarillo and the rest of the Swirling Eddies have decided to treat you -
their human fans - to a new full length Swirling Eddies album, with an added
Bonus to those that preorder now at the price of $20 per CD. Those that
preorder the album now will receive a special one of a kind password to a
secret website page which will contain an exclusive downloadable Swirling
Eddies EP, featuring demos, rough mixes and other unique "works in progress"
tracks from the upcoming album, before it is released. (Note: The password
and link will be sent at a later date, when the "works in progress" tracks
are
available).
Individuals that preorder 500 or more copies will receive a special, gold
plated,
chicken size replica of the original Let's Spin! Tour bus - hand painted and
chiseled in marble (or whatever material is available at the time) by
Camarillo
himself (while supplies last, and the good Lord willin').
Fun is guaranteed for all!! Preorder Now - lets get the Eddies back in the
studio!!
http://www.SwirlingEddies.com or http://www.danielamos.com
*The proceeds from the preorders will actually be used to produce the
new album. The Swirling Eddies would like to thank you for your continued
support. The release date for the New Swirling Eddies album in undetermined
at this point. Updates will be as frequent as possible. Keep watching the
DA News list, the DADL, the DA message board and the DanielAmos.com

Message-ID: <00f601c40e80$684aecc0$4210a4ac@MAINPC>
NEW SWIRLING EDDIES ALBUM UPDATE #1
Hello folks! We're excited to announce that the first part of the preorder
funds are on their way to Camarillo and the rest of the Eddies. . We're
told that Camarillo and members of the Eddies have already been hard
at work on songs for the future release.
This is going to be the beginning of a very exciting time for all of us. It
is in
many ways like starting over. There have been a lot of problems in the past
that kept things running very slowly and caused many delays with nearly
every project that was released. We still have some problems of the past
to fix, but almost all of these issues are behind us and we're looking
forward
to bringing you some exciting things in the future.
We wanted to take this time to answer some of the questions that we've
been receiving from preorderers.
(Preorders are still being accepted at http://www.danielamos.com ! )
--------------------------------------------
Q: Is there a scheduled release date for this project?
A: This is one of the traps we're trying not to fall into with this release.
Camarillo has already started working on the new release - but, obviously,
it all depends on how fast the money falls into place. We don't expect it to
take too long for this project to be finished, but we don't want to tell you
that it will be out at a certain time because we really don't know at the
moment.
We hope to update everyone (especially the preorder folks) with pics and
news about the project as soon as we have it. (In addition to the preorder
exclusive EP)
Q: What exactly will be on the EP?
We don't know. Camarillo said it would be fun to put it together for you
folks, so I'm sure the band will come up with something unique and
interesting.
Q: We thought that it had been announced that there were going to be no
more preorders?
A: That decision was made by Warm&Filled following a string of really bad
luck with various preorder in the pasts. In several cases, things were set
up
to happen a certain way (specific release date, etc) and then - for whatever
reason - they didn't happen that way. Understandably, many preorderers
got pretty upset about some of that stuff and we weren't too happy about it
either (like the year-long wait on "Prickly Heat Radio Players.") Well, now
that Warn&Filled is no longer managing the guys, we're faced with the
problem of figuring out how to finance future releases... we plan to
eventually
get away from having to do preorders, but at this moment - theres no other
way that things like this can get released.
We got a lot of feedback from folks about preorders before we did the
Anaheim DVD, and the general feeling was that no one really had a problem
with preorders in general. It was more the disappointment of not getting
everything that was originally announced or getting it a year late. We agree
with that feeling ourselves, and have for a long time. The reason that
things
happened that way in the past are numerous and go way beyond what I
can easily or quickly explain here, but since *we've* been handling the
preorders ourselves, we've been trying to make sure everything goes
correctly and as smoothly as possible.(The Anaheim DVD was released
on time, etc... we did have a few snags with that one... for example, both
the box of DVD discs and the box of artwork were delivered to the wrong
houses in town... it too us a little extra time having to track them down).
There's always a chance of a delay or problem that will come up
unexpectedly with *any* release, but we're trying to make sure that we
don't get into another situation like the way the "Prickly Heat Radio
Players"
preorders went. In that situation, we were in the same place that a lot of
you
were in. waiting for a year on the CDs to arrive. Additionally, we had a
very difficult time getting updates ourselves, which made it hard to get
updates to you. With this and other future preorders, we will immediately
post updates on the DA Webstore page, the DA News list, the DADL,
the DanielAmos.com news page and the message board.
What it comes down to is this - projects like this would not happen at all
without preorders. This album, like Buechner's, will happen because you
make it happen.
Q: What will be the band line-up?
A: This is primarily up to Camarillo, transportation, studio time and all of
the Eddies' personal schedules. I think Camarillo's hoping to do a "regular"
Eddies record with the regular line-up, and. maybe a guest Eddie or two...
but it all depends on how it works out. For some band members, we're
going to have to set up flights to and from various locations so the guys
can record together.
Q: Will this be an entirely comedy or novelty record like "Sacred Cows?"
A: This should be a "regular" Eddies release - more along the lines of
"Let's Spin!," "Outdoor Elvis" and "Zoom Daddy."
Q: I want to preorder, but can't afford to right away. How long will
pre-orders be taken?
A: We're not entirely sure about this. Obviously, we'll have to take them
until certain financial goals are met and we're still have a way to go
before
that happens. Once we know for sure, we'll give everyone a date that
preorders will stop.
Q: Will preorders be numbered and/or autographed?
A: We don't know yet. Its always fun to offer autographed copies to
preorderers, but sometimes this just adds further delays or complications
to getting something released quickly. Our primary goal is to get this
album released and shipped to preorderer as quickly as possible s.

HISTORIC EARLY DA RECORDINGS TO BE RELEASED!
For the first time ever, DanielAmos.com presents a special collector's
edition release featuring early rare recordings of Jubal's Last Band,
recorded in 1973 and 1974. Less than a year later, JLB would become
Daniel Amos and record their first song for Maranatha! Music. This
release will include a number of demos as well as live recordings of the
band in San Jose, CA 1974. Jubal's Last Band was Terry Taylor,
Steve Baxter, Chuck Starnes and Kenny Paxton. Songs include
"Holy Rollin' Again," "Ain't Gonna Fight It," "What Kind Of Revolution,
"William," "Freedom," (early version of "Love In A Yielded Heart"),
"The wrong side of the bed Blues," "The Bible," "Dusty Road," "The
Light Of The Word" and "Calvary Road".
We are now accepting orders for this special project exclusively at
DanielAmos.com for only $15. Note: This is release is currently being
produced. (Orders are expected to ship within 2-3 weeks.)
THE MAKING OF MR. BUECHNER'S DREAM DVD!
Finally, the long awaited "making of" film is nearing completion. visit
www.DanielAmos.com right now to download the trailer for an exclusive
sneak peek at the upcoming DVD. This project will allow you to follow
DA from their rehearsals at Ed McTaggart's house, to their sessions at
the Green Room, and onto the concert stage. (Look on the main page
of the website for the trailer. Right click and select "Save as" to download
the trailer to your hard drive.
THE SWIRLING EDDIES!
Just a reminder: We're still trying to raise funds for this project.
More preorders are still needed to complete work on the album.
Don't delay! The faster we receive preorders, the faster this album
will be finished and in your hands.
NOTE: We have a limited number of extra copies of "Prickly Heat
Radio Players" which are being sold to benefit this project. Due to
manufacturing limitations, we were left with an extra box of this comedy
release. Instead of letting them sit here collecting dust, we have decided
to offer them to you in support of the upcoming Eddies project.

JUBAL'S LAST BAND CD UPDATE!
We've decided to give everyone a little extra with this title. We have
expanded this release beyond the Jubal's Last Band recordings, to a
full deluxe reissue of DA's first album with bonus tracks. At this time,
it is expected that the release will be 2 CDs - the first CD being the
original self titled album featuring the songs Jesus Is Jehovah To Me,
The Bible, Abidin', William, Prelude: Servant's Prayer, Don't Light
Your Own Fire, Losers & Winners, Walking On The Water, Ridin'
Along, Dusty Road, Love In A Yielded Heart, Skeptic's Song,
Happily Married Man and Aint Gonna Fight It. The second CD
will be all of the JLB demo and live material + additional early DA
demos and live recordings, documenting the birth of the band we
now know as Daniel Amos.
Although we might have to adjust the price of this title in the future,
anyone that has ordered for $15 will still receive the CD at that price.

Message-ID: <1f7801c43fb3$f0c429e0$6901a8c0@MAINPC>
Hey folks,
Just a heads up on yet another set of rarities from the
personal archives of Terry Taylor being auctioned off
on ebay.
This is an extremely rare complete set of original promotional
posters from all four of Daniel Amos' Alarma Chronicles- Alarma,
Doppelganger, Vox Humana and Fearful Symmetry-signed and
dated (5-20-04) by Terry Taylor himself. The posters are not mint
condition. They have some wrinkles, some original fold marks,
some scotch tape marks and some thumbtack holes, but they
are in good condition and the fact that the set is complete, signed
and comes from Terry's personal archive makes this a truly
one-of-a-kind auction.

"DANIEL AMOS" DELUXE REISSUE / JUBAL'S LAST BAND UPDATE:
We decided to push this release back for a couple of weeks to allow us to
do some remastering and to give Terry time to write some additional liner
notes.
At this point, it looks like this reissue of DA's first album will feature
over 20
bonus tracks... nearly all of which are previously unreleased demo and live
recordings from early Daniel Amos, Jubal's Last Band, Good Shepherd, and
Judge Rainbow and the Prophetic Trumpets (the only bonus tracks that
have been previously released are "Happily Married Man" & "'Aint Gonna
Fight It.") At this time, we're expecting to have this title released by
mid-July.
Watch for more similar deuluxe reissues in the future!
-------------
THE MAKING OF MR. BUECHNER'S DREAM UPDATE:
Eiditing is still going well. we recently realized that we're actually
missing some footage that was filmed during the sessions. There
is a search underway at the moment to find that missing footage..
-------------
THE SWIRLING EDDIES UPDATE:
Camrillo is currently on tour in Tanzania, but hopefully work on
the new album will continue as soon as he returns.

IMAGINARIUM RETURNS!
Back by popular demand! The 2 CD compilation of music
composed and performed by Terry Taylor for the DreamWorks
video game projects The Neverhood and Skullmonkeys will
be rereleased this Christmas season. The reissue will include
brand new artwork by game creator Doug TenNapel, 10
pages of brand new liner notes by Taylor and other surprises
supplied by TenNapel.
Note: Due to a few minor last minute delays, we are sending
the project to the printer a little later than we had hoped. This
means that we will probably have it in hand just a matter of days
before or after Christmas. If we begin to take orders for this
project before Christmas, we unfortunately cannot guarantee
that you will receive it in time for you to give it to a loved one
as a Christmas gift. We will do everything we can to try to make
that possible, but time is definitely not on our side.
DANIEL AMOS 30th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE REISSUE!
For those of you that have not been watching the "upcoming
releases" forum on the message board.. due to some delays
while restoring some of the nearly 30 year old masters, this
project is obviously behind schedule. We want to thank you
all for your support of this project and your continued patience.
We can report to you that the last tape was finally fully restored
and is in our hands. In the coming days, we will be finalizing
the bonus disc track list and hopefully even recording some new
material for the project. We will probably go to the manufacturer
on this one very soon. Terry is currently tied up with a new
soundtrack project and will be finishing work on this project as
time permits.
This will be the first in a series of what we hope to be a reissue
of the entire DA back catalog. Although we have no idea how
long it will take to get all of these titles back in print, we do not
expect each release to take this long to complete. For a number
reasons, including the expensive restoration of the early masters,
this first album will probably prove to be the most difficult to
put together. Another significant delay was the switch from a
simple release of early demos to the deluxe 2 CD reissue of the
first album after sales had begun. For future releases, we will finish
restoration of the masters before sales are taken whenever possible.
The only exception will be if we need to use preorder money to
pay for the restoration process.
THE MAKING OF MR. BUECHNER'S DREAM DVD!
We had of course originally hoped to have this one ready this last
summer. As most of you probably are aware, it was discovered
around that time that we were not working with all of the footage
that the band filmed while making the album. For that reason, we
are behind on schedule on this one as well, but thankfully, after
months of searching, the missing tape was finally located and editing
resumed. We're currently expecting to have something finished by
early '05. No estimate at this on when orders will begin to taken for
this release.
THE SWIRLING EDDIES!
As mentioned above, Terry is currently wrapped up with a new
soundtrack project for Nickelodeon (air date and other details
will be announced as soon as they are available). Although that
project has kept him busy, Camarillo has been able to meet up
with an Eddie or two to work on a few rough ideas. The full
production budget is still not in place, but many of these other

Terry, Tim, Greg and Ed recently stopped by the DA Message
board for a little chat with the regulars. If you missed it, you can
still read the full text on the board (as well as the chat from last
year).
As always, continue to watch the message board, the news page
and the store page for updates on all of these titles. (The message
board generally has the more frequent day-to-day updates. Although
you have to be registered to post on the board, you can still read
most of the forums if you are not a member). Feel free to write
with any questions at any time (audiori@danielamos.com)
Have a Merry Christmas,
Everyone at www.DanielAmos.com
